Rep. Rebimbas photographed for upcoming exhibition

by: jbazinet Friday, February 5th, 2010

Rep. Rebimbas recently posed for a portrait session in an office at the Legislative Office Building with Stamford photographer Tim Coffey and his assistant Minush.  Rebimbas’ portrait and those of other notable political figures within the state will be on display in an upcoming exhibit at the LOB.  The exhibit, “The Art of Politics,” which features dramatically lit photographs, will be on display in the upper concourse from March 1,  through March 12, 2010.

Rep. Rosa Rebimbas Said:

Dear Naugatuck Resident,

Please forgive the informal greeting as you did not leave a contact name or number on the Website.

Thank you for your concern regarding the upcoming photography exhibit “The Art of Politics.” I, too, am deeply concerned about the budget issues facing our state and before accepting the invitation I made sure it was not going to be another expense to our already burdened taxpayers.

The exhibit is a personal project by the photographer, Tim Coffey, and as such bears no cost to the state. It is entirely funded by him and according to Mr. Coffey was “undertaken to shed a positive light on our leaders.”

I was honored to be included in the exhibit which also features Representatives from both parties, and both former and current local and national political figures with ties to our state.

The people of Naugatuck benefit from increased exposure of their elected Representative in an exhibit profiling elected officials that have a positive impact on our state.

If you have any future questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience, I will be glad to answer.

Sincerely,
Rep. Rosa C. Rebimbas
