Rep. Rebimbas Welcomes Naugatuck Soldier Home
On Friday, July 24, Rep. Rosa Rebimbas was on hand at the Naugatuck VFW Post to welcome home Specialist 4 Robert James Genovese of Naugatuck from his recent tour of duty in Afghnistan. Rep. Rebimbas joined State Senator Joseph Crisco in presenting a Citation from the Connecticut General Assembly, and Major Michael Downes of the Governor’s Military Staff presented a proclamation from Governor Rell welcoming home Robert and thanking him for his service to his community and the nation.

We thank God that he is home safe and sound and please express our gratitude for his service. We know you are very proud and thankful for his safe return and duty to our country.

Bob, you were a consumate pro(for a young guy) when you worked with me at Sears in Waterbury a few years back. It is obvious your professionalism carried on in your career in the military. We are so very proud of your service to our great country; but, mostly so proud to call you a friend.

Your grandfather Geno and I served together in Germany at Sembach AB in the early 60’s. Our tour of duty at that time was much different than yours. Enjoy that beer at the VFW
