Rebimbas to Join House Republicans
Rosa Rebimbas is set to join the state legislature. Rebimbas, 33, earned a victory today in a special election to determine who would represent the 70th House District. Republican Kevin DelGobbo held the seat for years but resigned to take a commissioner’s seat offered by Gov. M. Jodi Rell. Rebimbas, a fiscal conservative on Naugatuck’s finance board, jumped at the chance to follow in DelGobbo’s footsteps. Naugatuck native Rebimbas has pledged to keep up one of her predecessor’s hallmarks: responsiveness to constituents with questions, comments or concerns. Rebimbas could be sworn in as early as this week.
