Someone who is thinking sensibly. While I do not condone this new phenomena of "sexting" I am glad to see that our legislators realize that ruining the life of an immature youth with a felony and sex offender registration does not serve the public safety. I urge Rep Rebimbas, and anyone who may read my comment, to read the Editorial in last Sundays [4/4/10] Hartford Courant about the need to revamp the Sex Offender Registration Laws to better serve the Public Safety.["All Sex Offenders are not Equal" Hartford Courant-Opinion Section, Sunday 4/4/10]. Thank you for your concern regarding the upcoming photography exhibit “The Art of Politics.” I, too, am deeply concerned about the budget issues facing our state and before accepting the invitation I made sure it was not going to be another expense to our already burdened taxpayers. The exhibit is a personal project by the photographer, Tim Coffey, and as such bears no cost to the state. It is entirely funded by him and according to Mr. Coffey was “undertaken to shed a positive light on our leaders.” I was honored to be included in the exhibit which also features Representatives from both parties, and both former and current local and national political figures with ties to our state.
